Name:   Khalid Amayreh
Title: Palestinian Journalist

Position: Pro One-State Solution to the question "What are the solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?"
Reasoning:

"I support a unitary state in all of mandatory Palestine where Jews and Arabs live as equal citizens."

In an e-mail to ProCon.org
August 3, 2005

"The two-state solution, advocated tirelessly by mediocre politicians who lack historical vision, is therefore unrealistic, unworkable, and dangerous. Unrealistic and unworkable because one can't unscramble an egg, and dangerous because genuine grievances can't be suppressed for ever by shortsighted political decisions. Which necessitates searching for a truly democratic and civilized alternative that is consistent with human rights and dignity. And this can be found in the one-state solution, provided there is good will on both sides. With this solution, which can be realized gradually, a final reconciliation between Jews and Arabs can be reached and decades of blind enmity and internecine wars would come to an end."
