The Treaty of Ashqelon
Written by Adam M. Mullin
Adopted on this day of _________________, 2004
Israel and Palestine have made an official statement of agreement in the separation of the two countries. This agreement is constructed of laws that have been agreed upon and therefore are official and by law of either government. The laws will become non-existent if pact between two countries is disagreed upon by a 2/3-majority vote from the Israeli and Palestine government. Both Countries have accepted responsibility in abiding by these laws of the Treaty of Ashqelon.
These laws consist of rules that must be applied on the laws of the country. Prohibiting a law of this document will result in legislative and judicial decisions of each country.
- Israel and Palestine will be divided on a horizontal line of latitude from Ashqelon to the center of the Dead Sea, Any change in the line can only occur after a two-thirds vote from both countries.
- Trade is allowed between the two countries but must be inspected before passing over the division line.
- Any means of violence or harsh acts of verbal or physical violence will be stopped immediately. Persons creating violence towards the other country will be under the custody of the country's law.
- Tourists are acceptable into either country and must present a valid identification or passport at hotels, landmarks, gas stations or restaurants. Passes across the division line due to work, business or tourism, must be accompanied by the paying of a toll, inspection of the vehicle and person(s) in the vehicle. The tolls will be posted on each side of the line, one on Ashqelon and the other near the Dead Sea. Any individual who does not have a pass when inquired to display their pass and identification will be violating law and will be handled by that country's judicial system.
- The practice of any faith is permissible on terms that the faith does not create any harm or violence towards a person, group of people, government or country.
- If the actual division line is unclear or disagreed with, countries are entitled to a wall or barrier only on the line to separate those from entering into the other country. The United Nations and Arab Nations must vote on a barrier of this magnitude; majority decision vote is two-thirds.
- Military support will be halted from either country from the United States. This is to focus on the improving of situations and the reconstructing of either country.
- Both countries will abide by this Treaty unless both countries disagree based upon a two-thirds vote.
- This set of laws is to be understood and comprehended by any religion, gender, faith or ethnicity or age. In order for one to become a true citizen of either country, an individual must understand the Treaty of Ashqelon and must abide by its laws.
- The Holy Territory of Jerusalem will be un-owned land. Citizens of both Israel and Palestine, and tourists are allowed to visit the lands. People cannot act in violence or anger towards these grounds nor to another person by any means on this ground.
- Tourists must comply and abide by the Treaty of Ashqelon. When on arrival, each individual must complete a form in which they themselves agree with the terms of the Treaty. The forms will be sent to the governments of both countries, Palestine and Israel. If any tourist does not abide by the Treaty of Ashqelon, than the individual(s), or tourists, persons will be dealt with by the judicial system of that country.
- Both citizens of Israel agree on all the laws of the Treaty of Ashqelon. In order to end a law on the Treaty or end the Treaty itself, there must be a 2/3 vote by both countries and both governments must agree to add or delete the law in the Treaty.
